MVP (Multivariable Parameter) ICON®

Merck Biocontrol Indonesia supplies MVP ICON®. It is a pioneering system that measures and records the amount of ATP on the surface of the plant production surfaces. ATP is a molecule for energy storage used by all living cells and it is left over from the previous production cycle due to inadequate cleaning. A swab picks up this molecule and it is reacted with an enzyme luciferin/luciferase to produce light. This light is measured by a photometer and is proportional to the degree of contamination. The results are available real time and allows quick decision and corrective action unlike plate counts which gives results in at least 24 hours. The MVP ICON can be used with two types of sampling device; a surface swab and a liquid sampling device.

RIDA®ABSORBANCE 96

The RIDA®ABSORBANCE 96 from R-Biopharm Indonesia is a microtiter plate reader for the automated readout of RIDASCREEN® ELISA tests from R-Biopharm AG and ELISA sales products. RIDASCREEN® ELISA tests and R-Biopharm sales products are carried out by professionally trained laboratory personnel according to the relevant test kit description under the stated conditions for the specific sample material.

The new RIDA®ABSORBANCE 96 is a compact reader for ELISA tests. Barely larger than a microtiter plate, it fits into any laboratory and, thanks to modern LED technology, enables simultaneous measurement of all 96 wells in just 5 seconds. The device is nearly maintenance-free, precise, robust and requires no additional power supply apart from the USB connection to the computer. The RIDA®ABSORBANCE 96 offers 4 different wavelengths and can be used for all RIDASCREEN® ELISA tests, both for food and feed analysis and for clinical diagnostics.

Assurance® GDS

The Assurance® GDS (genetic detection system) from Merck Biocontrol Indonesia combines the latest advancements in molecular detection technology and food microbiology to provide faster results with the increased accuracy required to meet today’s food and environmental testing challenges. The Assurance® GDS system comprises three simple steps: Sample enrichment, Sample preparation assays utilizing our innovative GDS PickPen® immunomagnetic separation (IMS) device, and PCR analysis with the GDS Rotor-Gene® thermal cycler.

RIDA®CUBE SCAN

The RIDA®CUBE SCAN supplied by R-Biopharm Indonesia is a photometric system that allows biochemistry testing, covering all enzymatic and colorimetric assays for the detection of organic acids (e.g. lactic acid), sugars (e.g. glucose) or other food components (e.g. sulfite). The test principles and reagents are the same than those used for manual testing.

 

The RIDA®CUBE SCAN is a walk-away system that allows consecutive single-testing, in production facilities or in small laboratories. Each test kit contains 32 single test cartridges and one RFID card. All data specific for the test are stored on this RFID card, so there is no need to enter any instrument settings or test application settings. Results are calculated automatically and displayed on the screen. They can be exported to a personal computer or to a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Two analyzers are available with different combinations of wavelengths: 340 nm is always in place, in combination with a second wavelength respectively at 546 or 580 nm. The combination of different instruments allows to increase the throughput and to cover all wavelengths for the future test-kit portfolio. The Analyzer set includes the instrument and the tablet PC. The tablet PC is also available separately if broken or lost.

RIDA®SMART APP

R-Biopharm Indonesia supplies the RIDA®SMART APP, it is a software application for the quantification of RIDA®QUICK RQS mycotoxin lateral flow tests. The RIDA®SMART APP is a complete new evaluation technology for the quantification of mycotoxins. This technology evaluates lateral flow tests (LFDs), which are used for immunochromatographic analysis of mycotoxins. The app provides reliable and accurate results, which can be forwarded via e-mail, exported to a cloud server or easily sent to any supported printer. The app represents a more inexpensive, easier and faster alternative to conventional LFD reading devices.

RIDA®CREST

The RIDA®CREST and RIDA®CREST ICE from R-Biopharm Indonesia are online handling systems to be used in conjunction with IMMUNOPREP® ONLINE cartridges. They are HPLC automates that enable automatic sample application and detection of mycotoxins in a wide variety of food and feed matrices.

RIDA®CREST & RIDA®CREST ICE Technology

RIDA®CREST systems make mycotoxin analysis easy: Each system combines automated online sample preparation with quantitative analysis of mycotoxins. The automated handling systems are ideal for laboratories carrying out routine mycotoxin analysis and running large numbers of samples every day. Connect your detector of choice to the RIDA®CREST for automated mycotoxin analysis and save time and money, increasing your sample throughput. Alternatively, the RIDA®CREST ICE is connected to the customers own HPLC, UHPLC or LC-MS/MS systems. In both cases, the use of the automated system has the added benefit of standardizing and harmonizing methods.

IMMUNOPREP® ONLINE cartridges

The innovative RIDA®CREST systems enable the online cartridges to be incorporated directly online with an HPLC, UHPLC or LC-MS/MS system. The fully automated analysis system can process up to 12 samples before the cartridge is automatically removed and replaced with a new one.

 

Following extraction and filtration, the sample is placed in an autosampler vial. The diluted sample is then injected into the online immunoaffinity cartridge which contains a specific monoclonal antibody. After washing and elution, the sample is quantitatively analyzed for the mycotoxin of interest. The instrument is capable of processing two cartridges simultaneously.

The system is suitable for the analysis of legislated mycotoxins in food and feed. It has been validated in a number of independent laboratories for the routine monitoring of aflatoxin, aflatoxin M1, ochratoxin and deoxynivalenol in a wide variety of commodities.

Assurance® GDS PickPen® PIPETMAX® System

Arasains supplies automated colony counter from Interscience. Scan 300 is an automatic colony counter that includes the essential features for Petri dish counting. It is specifically adapted to the usual media in food microbiology: PCA, MRS, etc.


Scan 500 is an automatic colony counter that ensures fast and efficient counting of colonies, including on chromogenic agar. It guarantees excellent reproducibility. The images and results are saved and usable anytime. Scan 500 is also an inhibition zone reader.

Promicol

The Promicol method is based on measurements of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This nucleoside tri-phosphate is used as energy source of all living cells. Therefore a product sample can contain ATP from different sources:


  • Free ATP which is in the sample and was released from dead cells.
  • Somatic ATP in animal and plant cells.
  • Microbial ATP due to contaminating microorganisms.


The reagents from Promicol microbial ATP detection kits remove all sources of ATP except of microbial ATP which is afterwards specifically measured by bioluminescence reaction. A firefly enzyme is used which converts the specific substrate luciferin into oxyluciferin and light by using ATP. Therefore the released ATP is turned into light which can be measured and gives evidence of present microorganisms in the sample. In case no microbial ATP is present in the sample the reaction cannot occur and the sample is identified as sterile. The light produced is measured and expressed in Relative Light Units (RLU).
